Government of Canada Announces $65 Million for STARS


EDMONTON – The Government of Canada today announced a $65 million commitment to replace STARS aging aircraft. The announcement was made by the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness at STARS Edmonton base.

Members of Parliament are joined by Andrea Robertson, STARS CEO, a STARS VIP- Very Important Patient, and the Flight Crew for a photo opportunity.

Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation has provided $680,000 in financial support to STARS over the years and has hosted the annual Building Magic in the Air Gala for 8 years.

STARS provides critical medical help and rapid transport to those most in need. STARS has flown more than 40,000 missions in Western Canada. BTA Charitable Foundation knows that if our members or their families ever need these services, STARS will be there.
